Cookies and browser storage

Last reviewed: 2026-10-24.

This wiki does not use visitor analytics, advertising, heatmaps or session recordings. Reading the documentation does not require accepting optional cookies.

What is stored in your browser

The following first-party technologies serve only the functions described here. localStorage and sessionStorage are browser storage, even though they are not cookies.

imperivm-wiki-theme-v1localStorageRemembers your chosen color theme (blue, green or earth). Saved only when you change the selector and not sent to the server. No automatic expiry; until site data is cleared.Appearance preference explicitly requested by you.

sl-sidebar-statesessionStorageRemembers open navigation sections and scroll position on pages using that menu. For the tab session, subject to browser session handling.Navigation functionality.

Why there is no consent banner

The current configuration uses technical storage or storage tied to requested functions, without advertising tracking or behavioral analytics. There is no request to accept optional cookies that are not used. Any future technology requiring consent must stay blocked until consent is obtained and allow its withdrawal.

How to remove it

Remove individual bookmarks from their entries or clear selu.es site data in your browser settings. Clearing data for the whole domain may affect other selu.es pages. Blocking the technical cookie may prevent proposal submission; the documentation remains available.

Search, proposals and external links

The general search uses an index served by this website. CKS API queries, when used, reach the same server. A web request transmits technical information such as an IP address; absence of analytics does not mean absence of personal data processing.

The form sends the description, language, entry, submission identifier and optional name to the private inbox. The service retains an IP-derived identifier to protect the inbox. Choosing to omit a name does not make the request technically anonymous.

Links to GitHub, Visual Studio Marketplace and other websites open services with their own policies. This information covers /imperivm/ and does not describe other applications on the domain.
